Peter delivering his "Wilderness Astronomy" presentation to a crowd of 200+ in Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rockies in 2010

Here are just a few of the things that just a few people who’ve hired Peter McMahon to give a science presentation have to say.

In most cases, Peter has given multiple presentations at the venues/events listed.

If desired, additional references can be provided for those interested in bringing in Peter to deliver science presentations…

Peter made science come alive for our school groups. It was out of this world…Fantastic presentations.

– Kelsey Armstrong, Director, School Programs, TELUS World of Science, Edmonton

Peter is one of the most energetic and interactive presenters I have ever seen, delivering easy-to-relate-to science ‘edutainment’ for everyone in our audiences. Interesting, comedic, superb.

– Cheryl McGuffin, conference services manager, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

Peter: Just wanted to let you know…after several years of trying to get the kids interested in the sky at night, your show at Whistlers campground finally ignited the spark. We went home and bought a Sky Scout and a pair of binoculars and have a telescope on order : ) Thanks!

– ‘Sheldon’, from a posting on wildernessastronomy.com

Peter led 70 enthralled participants through an interactive tour of our solar system in a way that was directly tied to our conference theme (water conservation.) It was a treat to see our conference delegates acting like kids and getting excited about the experiences and material Peter was delivering.

– William Trenouth, speaker coordinator/moderator coordinator,
2011 Latornell Conservation Symposium
(at Nottawasaga Inn, Alliston – Ontario’s #1 family golf resort)

Peter sets no limit on his interactive adventures with everyday people and their experiences in astronomy. Peter can ‘sky-talk’ on the level of small tykes, gadget geeks, armchair cosmologists and those saving their money to hop on the public spacecraft of the future. Best of all, Peter finds humour in the universe and conveys this through his writing and his presentations.

– Sherrilyn Jahrig, star party producer, Winter Light festival
(the largest winter astronomy event in the world at 3,000-5,000+ attendees over the last two years it was held outside)
Elk Island National Park of Canada (Peter presented at Winter Light 2011)
